Pete Rose has filed for divorce from his wife of twenty-six years, Carole, RadarOnline.com has learned.

The divorce documents filed Friday by the disgraced wanna-be Baseball Hall of Famer, cite "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split.

Rose lists the separation date as to be determined. He states that he is willing to pay Carole spousal support, and is asking that they both split attorneys' fees.

The couple have no minor children, and the documents state that property rights will be determined at a later time.

Rose is being repped by mega-divorce lawyer, Joseph Mannis.

In 1989 after a lengthy investigation Rose accepted a voluntary permanent place on baseball's ineligible list after being accused of betting against his own team, the Cincinnati Reds.

Reports claimed that he placed the alleged bets on 52 Reds games in 1987.

Rose has denied the allegations and has tried multiple times to be reinstated into baseball, but all attempts, including one in 2009 have been turned down.
