In what would be a truly shocking development, baseball commissioner Bud Selig is seriously considering lifting the lifetime ban from baseball for gambling placed on defamed hit king Pete Rose 20 years ago next month.

Influential Hall of Famers Hank Aaron, Joe Morgan and Frank Robinson have all lobbied on the Cincinnati Red legend's behalf, the New York Daily News reported.

Rose would need to apologize publicly for his mistakes, and would not be allowed to manage. He would, however, be eligible for the elusive honor of the Hall of Fame.

Jake Gyllenhaal stepped out on Wednesday night for a low-key outing with another famous face. But don’t worry Reese, it wasn’t another gal!.The actor hit up a baseball game in Los Angeles with his brother-in-law Peter Sarsgaard.

“Jake was there with Peter and some other guy, it looked like another dad,” an onlooker told RadarOnline.com. The threesome sat in the Dugout Club seats as they cheered with the rest of the sellout crowd as the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Cincinnati Reds six to two.

TV Pitchman Billy Mays Found Dead

Billy Mays, the TV pitchman whose trademark voice helped sell everything from cleaning supplies to baking soda, was found dead Sunday morning by his wife at his Tampa, Fl. home. No cause of death has been reported and no foul play is suspected, Tampa police tell RadarOnline.com.

An autopsy should be complete by Monday afternoon.

The 50-year old pitchman was a passenger Saturday on board a US Airways flight that blew out its front tires and made a hard landing at a Tampa airport.

Illinois native Denise Richards- looking fantastic in a Chicago Cubs team jersey- stopped by Wrigley Field on Friday to sing Take Me Out to the Ballgame during the seventh inning stretch. Unfortunately, the actress was caught on national television reading the words to the famous jingle off of a cheat sheet!

Sounding a little flat, Richards herself admitted her performance confirmed that she was not a singing sensation. “That I am not,” she told a broadcaster. “I was about to have a heart attack. It was scary.”
