Real Housewives Of New Jersey Banned From Country Club

Posted on Aug 21, 2010 @ 05:30PM - 10 comments

The Real Housewives of New Jersey's outrageous antics have led to them being banned from the country club where they brawled during a recent episode, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey's outrageous antics have led to them being banned from the country club where they brawled during a recent episode, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively. John Stanley, the General Manager of the North Jersey Country Club, sent an apology to members of the club on July 19, and RadarOnline.com has a copy of the letter which states that the ladies are not welcome back at the establishment and calls their behavior staged.

He also goes on to rip the women of the show, pointing out they do not represent the "great families" that are part of the club's membership.

"It is safe to say that the 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' cast and crew members are not welcome at the North Jersey Country Club and I assure you that nothing like this will ever occur again at this Club," Stanley wrote to club members in a letter dated July 19, 2010.

The fight at the club included hair pulling and the cops being called. It aired on July 12.

"We are all embarrassed with the staged behavior of these cast members at our Club," Stanley wrote.

The letter says the Club was misled about the nature of the event.

"The fashion show event scheduled in November 2009 that was shown on the television episodes this July, were not properly presented to the North Jersey Country Club when the event was originally contracted and scheduled.

"The originally proposed function was quite common for a Club event: a fashion show from a local community business. Like all outside events, the fashion show was sponsored by a Club member and in addition, had the support of thirty club members in the form of attendance or volunteer models. The attending members, the sponsor, and volunteer models, like the Club's management, were all misled."

"As the date of the event approached, we learned that cast members from a cable TV show would be in attendance which also increased the overall attendance of the event to over 200 people.

"Two days before the event we were asked if Bravo could film the fashion show.  At that time, a lapse in judgment was made. Being somewhat naïve, and not aware of the true nature of the TV show, permission was granted."

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the Club has any legal recourse against the show or the network.

"After the event, I also learned that a release was signed by a representative of the Club, which took away our ability to have any legal recourse. We clearly made a mistake in not fully understanding the potential risk of this event. We clearly made a mistake in signing the release."

Stanley then slammed the women of the show.

"Whether you are a fan of the show, or a first time viewer, it is quite apparent from watching that the cast member are not affiliated with this Club or more importantly represent the many great families that comprise the North Jersey membership that call this Club their second home. Further, these women do not represent the people and families of our many neighboring towns or the population of the great state of New Jersey.

"As your General Manager and Senior Operation Officer, I apologize to the membership that this happened and assure you that preventative measures have been taken so this will be the first and last time that something of this nature ever happens at North Jersey Country Club."
