Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi's plan to be dropped in a glass ball above New York’s Times Square has just been crushed by the fun police -- city officials -- who tell RadarOnline.com it would "not be appropriate."

A spokesperson for the Times Square Alliance said they can "guarantee that Snooki will not be in any way associated with the official New Year's Eve Ball."

"We would not consider this to be an appropriate integration into this historical event and the iconic Waterford Crystal Times Square Ball," the official said.
