Britney Spears is "extremely upset" as the biggest lip-synching scandal since Milli Vanilli unfolds around her, according to her Australian promoter.
About 100 fans walked out of her Friday show at Perth's Burswood Dome, angry at what they perceived were overpriced tickets and performances short on substance. Local media panned the Toxic singer, and officials from three Australian states -- Western Australia, Victoria and New South Wales -- were discussing legislation that would force promoters to tell audiences when their concerts involve lip-syncing.

"I often complain to the ones closest to me that I don't seem to have much of a private life any more and part of that is my fault. How can I whine about my life being [too] public if I am the one telling the world what I am doing?" she wrote. As for Hemsworth's part in that decision, she explained: "I had mentioned to him that someone made a fake twitter with his name and we both starting chatting about how ridiculous it is. Liam is a wonderful friend and he did not try to make me delete my page, he just helped me realize how much time I was wasting on that site."

Connick, appearing as a judge on an Australian television variety show called Hey Hey It's Saturday, was subjected to an uncomfortable stretch of minstrel humor when an act called Jackson Jive -- five white Australian guys in black face pretending to be the Jackson Five -- appeared before him to be evaluated.
An irritated Connick gave the Aussies a zero for talent and taste.

Cate Blanchett is soldiering on after getting struck in the head with a prop radio while performing A Streetcar Named Desire on Wednesday. The Sydney Theater Company's general manager confirmed that the actress will be back at work for the Thursday night performance.
“Cate Blanchett was accidentally struck on the head by a prop. She sustained a minor injury but felt fine soon afterwards," said Rob Brookman in a statement. "Unfortunately it was necessary to cancel the rest of that performance. Cate is fine and tonight’s performance will go ahead as planned.”
The forty-year old actress, who was spotted returning home on Thursday with her husband Andrew Upton and their youngest son Ignatius, was in the middle of a fight scene with co-star Joel Edgerton when the radio he was scripted to throw slipped through his hands and accidentally hit her.
An audience member said that the actress attempted to continue with the scene despite blood streaming down the back of her head and neck. Shortly after, the theater's house lights turned on and the play was shut down.
