VIDEO: American Idol's Top 12 Men Make Shaky Debut
Posted on Feb 25, 2010 @ 06:00AM - 3 comments
The tough criticism continued Wednesday as the top 12 men took the American Idol stage, hoping to make a bigger impression than the women.
But the men seemed just as nervous making their live debut as the women did on Tuesday and like the women, there were only a couple of standout performances.
VIDEO: Top 12 Women Are Hot And Cold With The Idol Judges
Todrick Hall was first up with his take on the Kelly Clarkson hit Since U been Gone. The Arlington, TX, native got a mixed reaction, ranging from Ellen telling him he's a "great performer" to Simon telling him he "murdered the song" and that his performance was "verging on stupid".
16-year-old Aaron Kelly managed to keep his nerves despite his young age, remembering all the lyrics unlike his first appearance, and performing a passable version of Rascal Flatts' Here Comes Goodbye. Although he didn't win rave reviews Simon conceded that it was "quite a good performance" before adding that he "looks embarrassed to be here". Kara was kinder, telling Kelly that he is her "favorite kind of performer". Randy carried on the praise commenting that Kelly has a "huge voice"...not adding much to justify her multi million dollar salary Ellen said "ditto".

Jermaine Sellers got mixed reviews for his performance of Oleta Adams' Get Here. Elen commented that she's a huge fan of his but felt that he was "all into the performance instead of feeling the song". Randy told him it was a weird choice whereas Simon was less diplomatic quipping that it sounded like "the kind of song someone in their 50s would request in a piano bar." And stingingly added that he believed Sellers had just blown his opportunity.

Tim Urban got through to the top 24 by the skin of his teeth, securing a place only after Chris Golightly was disqualified. Urban made a bad choice with his pick of OneRepublics' Apologise. Simon told the wanabee congratulations on his comeback but based on his performance they made the right choice first time round. Ouch!
EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: American Idol Reject Has No Regrets About TV Meltdown
20-year-old Joe Munoz performed a sweet version of Joe Mraz's You And I Both. Kara and Randy gave rave reviews but Simon, in typical Simon fashion, rolled his eyes as he commented, "In 10 seconds time, we're going to forget this." calling the performance, "Limp and forgettable" ... adding, "Rather like our host."
70s rocker Tyler Grady took on American Woman, starting off strong but finishing on a bum note. Simon slammed him, saying that people will remember this performance, but down side is, not necessarily for the right reasons. Simon said Tyler comes across like someone who went to "trying-to-be-a-rock-star school," and that it doesn't seem natural.
VIDEO: Paula Abdul Gives Ellen DeGeneres Two Thumbs Up
23-year-old Lee DeWyze sang a pretty forgettable yet passable version of Snow Machine's Chasing Cars. Ellen commented that it was a good song choice, "except when you started kind of screaming it a bit." Simon praised DeWyze though, even go so far as to say, "It was the best performance...by a mile".
John Park perforeds an unusual song choice, singing God Save The Child. The judges were left unimpressed with Kara saying there was no connection and that the song was "loungey and sleepy". Ellen disagreed though, saying that she thought he sounded great.
26-year-old Michael Lynch chose to jazz up Maroon 5's This Love for his performance. Randy, Ellen and Kara praised him, but Simon dourly commented that his performance "was like the support act before the main act, you delivered so little."
Texan student Alex Lambert rocked a mullet and performed James Morrison's classic hit Wonderful World. Simon awarded him with the the "most uncomfortable performance of the night" whereas Kara just added that she felt he "needs a hug". Ellen threw in her support of Lambert's hairstyle choice though before cryptically comparing him to a "not quite ripe banana."
EXCLUSIVE: Tasered American Idol “Skiibosky” Has Long Arrest Record
Kara is obviously a huge fan of Casey James and holds nothing back in her praise. James let down his long blond hair and gave a pitchy version of Bryan Adams’ Heaven. Kara DioGuardi didn’t seem to mind the missed notes as she swayed back and forth during the song and told him giddily afterward, “Casey I don’t recognize you with your shirt on.”
James even managed to unnerve Ellen DeGeneres, who stammered out, “I could feel Kara undressing you with her eyes, I couldn’t focus. You’re going to get votes like crazy.”
PHOTOS: American Idol's Top 24
Even Simon seemed a little knocked off his block. “Casey one thing I do understand is that we were both cursed with good looks. But somehow you have to manage the talent thing as well. Obviously the cougar here loves you.”
Finally, 24-year-old Andrew Garcia went out on a limb, performing a stripped down and acoustic version of Fall Out Boy's We're Going Down. Kara said it was a "strange rendition" and Simon was just plain blunt, telling Garcia that he found his performance "disappointing and kind of boring".
Stay tuned Thursday for Season 9’s first elimination round and a performance from Season 8’s American Idol, Kris Allen.

American Idol featured more solo auditions on Tuesday night as the 71 contestants battled it out for a coveted spot in the final 24 - and just 7 made it through.
Contestant one Angela Martin opened with her swingy version of Kanye West’s American Boy, and judge Kara Dioguardi bobbed her head in appreciation and mouthed “I love her.”
Casey James, the handsome crooner who went shirtless in his first audition, was nervous about the dancing aspect of the show. “I’ve never danced in my life,” but he managed to impress the judges with his version of Afterward, in a backstage interview, James claimed to not be “super excited.” about his performance. But in the end, he was chosen for one of the coveted places.

26 year-old Jermaine Sellars pulled a diva move after his performance, offering a senseless explanation of a change he’d made to the song, Man in the Mirror, and admonishing the band.
Siobhan Magnus was told “Have fun and don’t be so old,” by Ellen Degeneres.
Crystal Bowersox brought down the house with Sheryl Crow’s “If it makes you Happy.”
Alex Lambert played the ukulele and sang Jason Mraz’s I’m Yours and cameras cut to clips of him being admonished. ‘You had no spark,” Simon told him.” “You are the weakest link,” a fellow performer remarked.
AI next featured Thadeous Johnson and his hyper supportive mother, celebrating his successes and consoling him through his failures. Thadeous performed but the band started playing Bubby. He shot them a look to kill and said, “I’m not Bubbly, I’m the Man in the Mirror.” After an awkward silence, he said “but I’m a bubbly person.”
Anxiety was reaching a fevered pitch.
Next up Charity Vance sang, Set Me Free, and was chosen to go to the next round.

Idol hopeful Mary Powers sang Katy Perry’s Hot N Cold. Cameras showed her with her young daughter. But, alas, in the end she was not selected.
Lloyd Thomas, 29, got emotional talking about his wife and his kids back home “how much this is going to change everything for them.”
The singing police officer was very confident in his performance, saying “It went very well.” But he overestimated the judges reaction. He was not chosen for the next round.

“Emotionally fragile" Hope Johnson, 20, shared about her poverty stricken childhood and paid homage to AI alum Chris Daughtry, with Home. Ellen praised her energy and voice.
Johnson struggled with the lyrics during audition and during practice with the band, and broke down in tears, but nailed her performance, singing Boston’s More Than a Feeling. She was picked to be among the 36 going into the second hour. In the end though, she was not picked to be in the final 24.
Aaron Kelly, 16, shared his emotional story about being adopted by his aunt. He sang Sarah Mclachlan’s Angel.
22-year-old Ashley Rodriguez performed Battlefield by another AI alum, Jordin Sparks.

Janell Wheeler claimed to be “struggling with my voice all week". And had an emotional break down after singing Taylor Swift’s song Romeo and Juliet. “I couldn’t handle the pressure.” But at the end of the first hours, she was one of the chosen few.
The rigorous schedule was taking a toll on contestants as judges divided them into yes and no groups.
Three judges went into room one, Ellen faked everyone out and made them think they were going home, and then at the last second, told them they were through to the next round and everyone was overjoyed.
EXCLUSIVE: Simon And Ellen Not Talking To Each Other
Room two was sent home, and the singers were inconsolable.
Room three erupted in celebration after being chosen for the next round.
26-year-old Michael Lynche’s wife was giving birth to their first child. “How do think you’ve done over the last 2 or 3 days,” Simon asked him. “Our problem is that you don’t feel like you can do this.” But he made it through and he said “This is for my wife and my little girl Layla, Big Daddy’s comin’ home.”
Didi Benami confided about losing her best friend during her audition, and took her place on the stage with the 3 judges to find out her fate. She was in. And she too broke down in tears, so happy to have been picked.
Katelyn Epperly, the curly haired blond shared her pain about her parents splitting. Ellen teased her when she took to the stage to find out how she fared, dragging out the answer, but in the end, she was chosen, and she ran right to her mom to share the news.
The show made a joke out of Kara’s crush on Casey James, and the hunky blond was selected to compete in the final 24.
Aaron Kelly had ups and downs in his performances, but won the judges over to compete with the top 24. “I’m on American Idol, It blows my mind,” he gushed.

Lee Dewyze also had a rocky road. During his final interview with the judges, he raved about how confident he was in his performance, and Kara said “We didn’t agree, until about 5 minutes ago.” He made it through.
There was a montage of friendships forming and it showcased Todrick Hall proposing to three blonds in bikinis. He was also selected.
Jessica Furney stole the show not with her singing but with her meltdown on stage when judges told her she hadn’t made it through. “It sounds pathetic to beg up here, but seriously you have no idea what I can do,” she pleaded. The judges rallied together and gave her a pep talk before giving her her matching orders. Another one bites the dust..the road to stardom is a tough one to walk.
Contestants that made it through Tuesday were, Casey James, Mike Lynche, Didi Benami, Todrick Hall, Aaron Kelly, Lee Dewyze, Katelyn Epperly
American Idol's Four Arrests - Drinking, Fighting, Fraud And Dope

Danelle Hayes wowed the American Idol judges in Denver with her rendition of I’m The Only One by Melissa Etheridge, winning her a golden ticket into the next round, but we wont be seeing the karaoke host in Hollywood now– due to her checkered and extensive criminal past.
DOCUMENTS: Read Danelle Hayes Arrest Records
RadarOnline.com has obtained Hayes’ criminal record and it’s pretty impressive for a 24-year-old. Hayes’ record includes DUI, driving on a suspended license, possession of marijuana, fighting with her parents after they refused to give her her car keys when she was drunk, threatening to kill her mom, vandalizing her parents’ house and stealing and cashing eight checks from her mom’s checkbook.

In January 2004 officers were called to Hayes home for a “domestic dispute”. Hayes mother made the call, saying that Danelle was breaking items in the house and struggling with her father. The officer says that Danielle admitted to kicking a large hole in a bedroom door, and that she “appeared agitated” and they could “smell the strong odor of alcohol coming from her”. Danelle stated that she had had a fight with her mother because she refused to get up for school. When she finally got up at 5pm she had a couple of drinks and then when she wanted to leave the house her mother refused to give her the car keys. She then got into a physical altercation with her father, kicking him before they got into a “physical struggle”. The officer stated that Danelle had made threats to kill her mother as well as herself, as well as stolen $30 from her mother along with several of her credit cards, the credit cards were later found under Danelle’s mattress. She was arrested for Felony Harassment and Malicious Mischief, booked and transported to King County Jail. She was subsequently charged with Theft too.

In March 2004 Hayes was busted for theft after stealing eight checks from her mother’s purse and cashing them. When the officer interviewed Hayes’ mother she said Danelle was currently on probation for domestic violence and had been arrested for shoplifting as well. When questioned by police Danelle told them she “needed some money to care of debts and stuff”. Going on to confess to stealing the checks, “I stole ‘em and took them to the bank”.
In December 2007 Hayes was pulled over for a faulty brake light. The arresting officer stated that her speech appeared to be slow and slurred. The officer said that Hayes admitted to having two drinks but then went on later to say she had three vodka and cranberry. When the officer checked her name it was discovered that she had an outstanding warrant for a DUI. She was booked again for DUI and placed into the King’s County Jail.
EXCLUSIVE: Cops Search For Missing Mom Of American Idol Contestant
In December 2008 Hayes was pulled over for not stopping at an intersection. It was discovered that she was driving on a suspended license. When the officer pulled Hayes’ driving record it showed there were five instances in which she failed to appear in court for various traffic citations. The officer searched Hayes’ vehicle and discovered two bags of marijuana along with a “urine belt” which the officer believed Hayes used whenever she had to submit to a urine analysis.
In her American Idol audition Danelle flew straight through to the next round, with Kara commenting, “That was the most moving audition”. Simon though, maybe working off of some kind of sixth sense, told her, “I like you but you’re broken.”
IDOL RECAP: Tears And Cheers From Day Two Of Hollywood Week
Posted on Feb 11, 2010 @ 01:41AM - 4 comments
Day two of Hollywood week kicked off Wednesday night with new American Idol judge Ellen DeGeneres at the judges’ table.
Of the 96 who made it to day two, just 71 made it through to the next level. For those who survived, the pressure was on as contestants hit the Kodak Theater stage in groups, hoping to impress the judges with their collaborative choreography and harmonies.

There were tears, but even more cheers, as several groups impressed the judges with their performances.
Donning what’s sure to become her signature judging black glasses, Ellen sent two groups through to the next round---both singing renditions of Lady Gaga’s Bad Romance.
EXCLUSIVE: Simon And Ellen Not Talking To Each Other
The group Middle C was a favorite, sending Casey James, Janell Wheeler and Jermaine Purifory through to the next round. Andrew Garcia, 17-year-old Katie Stevens and J.B. Ahfua also made it through with flying colors.

Going home were three people from the Denver auditions, Mark Labriola, Kimberly Kerbow and Danny Jones.

Perhaps the hardest song to sing for the contestants was Gwen Stefani’s Sweet Escape. “You’re the first person all night long who’s gotten that chorus right,” Ellen told one contestant amid cheers. Another group, including Matt Lawrence and theater student Amanda Schectman, were not so lucky. “It was so horrific. You’re all in the same boat. It’s the end,” Simon Cowell told the group Big Dreams. For Leah Laurenti, Dave Pitman and Kimberly Carver, it was also the end of the road.

Wednesday night was the last show of the auditions phase of American Idol Season 9, promising us the best and the worst of the auditions so far - and it didn't disappoint. "We've saved the best for last," Idol host Ryan Seacrest assured us at the start of the show, and it seems, for the most part, he was telling the truth!
With clips taken from all the auditions shows so far this season, American Idol The Road To Hollywood re-introduced us to some wanabees from past seasons as well as showcasing some fresh talent, and disasters!
First up though we get to relive what has probably been the most memorable and talked about audition so far this year - yes - it's welcome back Pants On The Ground!
American Idol : Ellen Era About To Launch
Then we are introduced to a previous Season 8 contestant, 20-year-old Jessica Furney, who sucked up to Simon by performing Footprints in The Sand, an original composition penned by Cowell himself - who knew he had so many talents - guest judge Posh Spice for one, who is astounded to hear of Simon's writing "talents". Needless to say Jessica's nod to Cowell, along with a little talent, guaranteed her a place through to Hollywood, the first of many of the night who won a coveted spot.
Boston contestant Amanda Shectman wasn't lacking when it came to standing out, entertaining with her bad impressions and proclaiming that she just wants her true talent to shine through, which she's "pretty confident it will". She didn't wow with her performance though, prompting Victoria Beckham to tell her, "I think you need to work on your expressions" and Kara to tell her she felt she was lacking in connection, a sentiment Simon agreed with. Shectman stood her ground though, protesting, "Singing is what I love to do man, please listen to me!" And after some deliberating she was passed through, prompting an Oscar worthy performance of appreciation.
American Idol : Dallas Auditions
Lee Dewyze brought to the table his gravelly voiced rocker act, winning a ticket through to the next round.
Also sailing through was Crystal Bowersox, who kept her guitar over her shoulder, even though she wasn't allowed to play it.
23-year-old Church Event Director Lacey Brown, made it into the top 50 on Season 8, now, back for her second go she wowed with her version of Somewhere Over The Rainbow, which prompted Kara to tell her, "You're definitely one of my favorites this season" and winning her a second shot at stardom.
EXCLUSIVE: Tasered American Idol Has Long Arrest History
Someone that just doesn't seem to know how to take rejection is 23-year-old Stephanie Fisher, who appeared in Denver for her 7th attempt at American Idol fame. The overly tan Paris Hilton lookalike performed an overly dramatic and off-key rendition of the Peggy Lee classic, Fever. Simon judged her performance, "terrible" telling her "honestly, you can't sing sweetheart". Stephanie excused her poor performance on her nerves due to the presence of Victoria Beckham, explaining "she's my fashion icon." The judges awarded her another go, where she proceeded to murder Baby Love before Simon promptly stopped her and put an end to her dreams, once again. Better luck next time Stephanie, or maybe not....
Next up a trio of 16-year-olds. Rachel Hubbard, Thaddeus Johnson and Genesis Moore all showcased talent well beyond their tender ages and all were given a pass to Hollywood.
Simon Cowell Leaving American Idol To Concentrate On X-Factor
Oversized 6 foot 8" 17-year-old swimmer Adrian Chandtchi, described himself as, "A beautiful man-flower", claiming that for America, "I am the only one" and sharing he has a slew of nicknames, including "Blondzilla". Chandtchi stunned with a falsetto performance of Elvis' Can't Help Falling In Love With You, prompting poor Randy to double over in laughter. Kara commented, "Adrian, there's like a small schoolboy trapped inside you" to which Simon quickly quipped, "Either that or you've eaten one." Rejected by all Adrian wasn't giving up easily, telling the judges, "You have my number, if you want to do re-call backs call me." Don't wait for that phone to ring...
Big buff 26-year-old personal trainer Michael Lynch tried out in Orlando, sharing before his audition that he just found out he has his first child on the way! The gentle giant sang Unchained Melody and the ladies commented, "You're like a singing teddy bear", maybe echoes of past Idol Ruben Studdard? We will see, as Michael got through to the next round.
Hollywood contestant 22-year-old waitress Didi Benami battled her emotions as she explained that she was auditioning in memory of her best friend Rebecca, who died four years ago. Singing the Beatles classic Hey Jude Benami gave a rousing performance, prompting Kara to note, "You really want it bad." Randy commented that "you sounded really cool, you had good range. I actually really liked you." And despite a "very small yes" from Simon the hopeful got through to Hollywood.
16-year-old Aaron Kelly had a sob story to tell. Living a migratory lifestyle with his parents when he was infant and moving from place to place Aaron shared that he was about to be taken away by social services before his kindly aunt and uncle stepped up to the plate and adopted him and his brother. He performed The Climb by Miley Cirus, garnering praise from Simon who told him, "I think the moms will like you." Kelly won 4 yesses and a place into the next round.
Kimberly Bishop declared that "I have what it takes to become the next American Idol because I have a really good heart." The 20-year-old nursing student murdered Katy Perry's I Kissed A Girl, getting a unanimous rejection.
PHOTOS: A Look Back At American Idol 2009
In Dallas Shaddaiii Harris bought her mom with her, who confessed that when she was pregnant with Shaddaii she had a "vision" of her singing. Unfortunately Shaddaii's performance was beyond appalling, shattering her mom's visions forever.
Ryan teases, "We're saving the best for last" before introducing Hope Johnson who shares a story worthy of a Lifetime movie of the week, telling how she didn't know she was poor when she was little, taking food home from school to share with her starving little brother, declaring "there are a lot of things worse than going without". The pretty 19-year-old waitress won over the judges, with all of them commenting that they liked her. It was a unanimous yes for the last contestant of the evening and with that it's goodbye to the auditions and hello to Hollywood!
VIDEO: Denver American Idol Introduces The World To Bikini Boy
Posted on Feb 03, 2010 @ 12:38AM - 5 comments
The auditions phase of American Idol Season 9 is drawing to an end as we enter the final week before heading to Hollywood and, at last, Ellen DeGeneres' highly anticipated premiere as the new fourth judge.
But first, there was Denver, Colorado. And Bikini Boy.
Victoria Beckham was back as a guest judge, with the hope that she would bring more to the table this time around than her lack luster appearance on the Season 9 premiere from Boston. But Victoria failed to wow, with more fashion critique than musical input, even prompting Simon at one point to ask, "Am I on Project Runway?"
RECAP: American Idol Hopeful Jason Greene "Touches" Himself
Posted on Jan 27, 2010 @ 05:56AM - 5 comments
The Fox TV ratings juggernaut, American Idol, rolled into it's filming home town of Los Angeles Tuesday night, with punk-pop princess Avril Lavigne and newly engaged Katy Perry hitching a ride as guest judges.
PHOTOS: American Idol 2009
With the auditions phase of the hit show drawing to a close expectations were high for the entertainment capital of the world, and it didn't disappoint, delivering it's usual mix of horor and talent.
10,000 hopefuls lined up at the Rose Bowl in the hopes of bagging a coveted pass to Hollywood. Although most went home with their dreams shattered a few lucky contestants got through, with an exciting array of talent promising this year's competition is going to be as hot as any of the past seasons.
The show didn't kick off with the best though. First up was 19-year-old Neil Goldstein, a self professed "geek" with a love of books and computers. Overcome with nerves, Goldstein gave a shaky rendition of Meatloaf's Rock and Roll Dreams Come True.
EXCLUSIVE VIDEO INTERVIEW: Constantine Says Show Should End This Year
Simon Cowell tried to break the news gently that the hopeful wasn't heading to Hollywood, but Goldstein insisted otherwise, refusing to leave and asserting that he was going to Hollywood. He finally left the room after Cowell asked him if he wanted to leave on his own accord or get an escort!
Next up was 27-year-old Jim Ranger. Ranger gave a strong performance of an original song that he wrote about his wife. Despite a no from a devil horned Avril, who said she thought it would be too tough for him to be on the road and away from his wife and three kids, the Pastor from Bakersfield got through to the next round.
Idol Contestant Tasered After Swallowing Crack
Damien Lefavor told us he was addicted to martial arts before going on to murder a rendition of The Righteous Brothers classic, You've Lost That Loving Feeling. Not surprisingly it was a unanimous no, with even Damien himself saying, "I don't believe I just did that". Cowell told the wannabe Idol, "You should just go."
Bringing some rock and roll 28-year-old Mary Powers delivered with a version of Pat Benatar's classic hit We Are Young. Simon thought she had a "really good voice" but commented that everything about her was "cliched". Avril said she was "cool" and Randy rounded out with praise, saying, "little girl huge voice". It was a yes all round and a spot in Hollywood for the excited single mother.
American Idol Episode Two Recap
The last contestant of the day, AJ Mendoza shared that he had sent a demo tape to last season runner up Adam Lambert, claiming Lambert had "loved it". Unfortunately the judges didn't feel the same way about Mendoza's murderous rendition of Living Colors, Cult Of Personality, prompting Simon to say it sounded like he had "just come from the dentist ten minutes ago."
Another day, another set of Idol hopefuls paraded in front of the judges. First up water cleaner Austin Fullmer who proudly asserted that "American Idol has never had anyone like me sexually", whatever that's meant to mean!
Giving an appalling performance Austin got a resounding no from all the judges, with Kara commenting she felt he was channeling Mick Jagger, and Cowell saying he felt Austin was "one disturbed young man."
PHOTOS: Ellen's Ready For Idol
There were tears galore as hopeful after hopeful were rejected, before 23-year-old dad, Andrew Garcia entered the audition room. With a moving story about a tough life being raised by gang banging parents in Compton Garcia went on to share that he wants a better life for his son. And it looks like he's on his way to providing one. Garcia showcased a soulful voice, prompting Cowell to rave, "you're the only person today I believe is a genuinely good singer". Katy opined, "You gave me the chills." It was a full house of yesses.
Keeping up the talent quota was 26 year old PA Tasha Layton, who moonlights as a minister at night. Giving a lyrical rendition of Joss Stone's Baby Baby Baby, the pretty singer got rave reviews, with Katy saying, "I love a good Southern Belle" and Cowell saying, "I think people will like you."
American Idol Scoop From Randy Jackson
However, it's likely that not many people would like the next contestant. 21-year-old student Jason Greene did a laughable performance of the Divynals classic, I Touch Myself. Writhing around on the floor Greene horrified poor Katy Perry who confessed "I feel dirty" prompting Greene to shoot back, "You make me feel dirty Katy." Greene wasn't one to miss out on an opportunity to flirt though, slipping his number to Idol host Ryan Seacrest and insisting he call him!
EXCLUSIVE: Pauls Abdul Stunned At Being Replaced On Idol
Last up for the night was 26-year-old salesman Chris Golightly. With a voice as moving as his heartbraking story of living in the foster care system from the age of 18-months and of being shuttled to 25 families over the years, Golightly moved all the judges, with the exception of hard nosed Cowell. Randy said, "I like you man. I like the voice too." Kara was obviously impressed telling Golightly, "You are one of my favorites from today, if not my favorite. Simon commentd though that the singer "could of been in a boyband" and said he wasn't impressed. With three votes in his favor though Golightly is through to Hollywood, saying "this is the first something that's worth it."
22 other hopefuls also made it through to the next round

Ryan Seacrest billed it as one of the most serious moments in Idol history, ever. And he wasn’t wrong.
It began with 28-year-old Jarrod Norrell making the bold declaration that he was a “great singer” and ended in handcuffs.
Missed Our First American Idol Blog?
After a truly horrendous performance of “Amazing Grace”, Norrell refused to accept a unanimous no from the judges.
