The Amish "cult" members accused of a bizarre attack on fellow members of the religion during a home invasion appeared in court on Tuesday, RadarOnline.com has learned.

Levi Miller, 53, Johnny Mullet, 38, and Lester Mullet, 26, were arrested on Friday and charged with kidnapping and aggravated burglary after allegedly breaking into the home of a Holmes County, Ohio, Amish family and cutting off the beards of the men and the hair of both men and women, reported WTRF.com.

While three of his followers were in court, the leader of the 'Bergholz Clan' and father of two of the accused, Bishop Sam Mullet, argued that it is a religious matter and shouldn't be handled by the police.

The Amish people are known for their peaceful nature, which makes the attacks by a group of religious cast offs even more shocking, and RadarOnline.com has all the details of the bizarre crimes.

Members of a number of families who were disowned by the mainstream Amish have reaped revenge by cutting the symbolic beards off the men and the hair from both men and women, reported MSNBC.com.

The vicious attacks took place in the heart of Ohio's Amish country, which is home to one of the biggest populations of the religion in the U.S., and are aimed to degrade the victims without hurting them.

"Kristen was walking down Beverly Blvd. in Los Angeles while on an important business call when suddenly a black Scion screeched around and made an illegal U-turn," an eyewitness told RadarOnline.com.

"It was Lea and she started screaming at Kristen, 'You f**king b**ch! You ugly b**ch! I'll kill you! I know where you live! Come here and fight me! Fight me!'"
