Weekend warrior? Or serious about getting in shape? Whichever category you fit into Gatorade has developed a new product to help you take your game up a notch.
The G Series Pro line of products from Gatorade have not been available to the general public – until now. Starting May 1 you can buy them at GNC, which is carrying the entire new line of elite products.
The new Gatorade line features products for before, during and after exercise. G Series Pro is recommended for any stage of the workout and there’s also a nutrition shake for before the action stars and a protein recovery shake for after.
GNC is the easiest way to pick up the products. Until now these have been available only to an elite group of athletes and the line made its debut on the Super Bowl sideline.
So we’re talking about serious performance here!
Hey, we’ve come a long way from the 1920s when athletes drank oatmeal water to prepare for a race! Oatmeal water?
Yeah, chug the Gatorade!
Get Activ: With Activ Water

With all the competing sports drinks out there, one has to wonder if you’re just better off with plain old water. Not so, according to the scientists; sports drinks have other advantages over water for athletes and exercisers that go beyond better hydration. Don’t worry about the calories in sports drinks either, which have been shown to increase energy and endurance, limit the immune system suppression that sometimes follows hard workouts, reduce exercise-induced muscle damage, and promote faster recovery.
All that said, if you are just a casual exerciser you also want something that also refreshes and tastes good, without adding unnecessary calories (another hour on the treadmill.)
We discovered ActiV water which is 100% natural, has only 25 calories per serving, and is packed with electrolytes, vitamins and antioxidants. Better yet, it’s delicious – esp. the Black Berry, but there’s a vast selection of flavors. Dragonfruit anyone?
