A retired NYPD detective was found guilty of attempted murder, aggravated battery and arson on Thursday after attacking his wife with a hammer, dousing her in gasoline and setting her on fire.

Christopher Hanney, 46, of Tampa Bay Florida, attacked his estranged wife, Audrey Mabrey, 29, because she told him that she was divorcing him, reports The MailOnline.

At one point, Harry said "F--- the United States!," according to Thom Mrozek, a spokesman for the U.S. attorney's office. Mrozek said the son was detained and ejected from the courthouse following the profane outburst.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the house where legendary rocker Jim Morrison once lived is among those destroyed. It's believed to have inspired his song, Love Street.

"We believe it's a good possibility that the individual responsible for the fires this morning is responsible for the fire that occurred tonight," Moore said Friday night.
