A veto letter was sent by California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to his political rival, Democrat San Francisco assemblyman Tom Ammiano, that nixed bill 1176, which proposed financing for a Bay Area waterfront project.

Read Arnold’s Veto Letter!

So what makes this generic letter newsworthy? Perhaps a coded message as, if you read it vertically, Schwarzenegger's rejection of the bill is stated far more to the point, reading "F--- You."

Maria Shriver has terminated her cell phone.

Arnold Warns Maria Shriver: "There's Going To Be Swift Action"

The first lady of California, appearing on the Today Show Monday, endured some good-natured ribbing from NBC's Matt Lauer, Ann Curry and Al Roker for her miscues last week, when she was caught illegally talking on a phone while driving. (Her husband, California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, made talking on a cell phone while driving, without the use of a hands-free device, illegal last year.)

Maria Shriver Apologizes For Driving With A Cell Phone

Maria Shriver issued an apology on Wednesday afternoon after pictures of her driving while talking on her cell phone surfaced online.

"I'm sorry. I will be donating my favorite old cell phone to my Women's Conference partner Verizon through their HopeLine program that helps domestic violence shelters. I invite anyone else who wants to recycle their old phone to join me. That's my version of swift action with a higher purpose," her statement read.

Her husband Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger supported and signed a law last year banning the use of handheld communication devices while driving in California. If Shriver had been caught while driving in her Brentwood neighborhood, she would have owed at least $300 worth in fines for her repeated offenses.

When the gaffe was brought to his attention, Schwarzenegger promised there would "be swift action."

Busted!

California's First Lady, journalist Maria Shriver, has been photographed once again talking on her cell phone while driving -- a clear violation of California law.

Shriver was snapped Tuesday in the posh Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, near the family's home. When she noticed the photographer, she promptly put the phone down.

It was too late though -- the pap got the shot!

EXCLUSIVE: Kanye West Thankful Law Named After His Mother Says Family Member

Kayne West recently told Jay Leno that the death of his mother pains him and since her death the artist has been struggling to death with his grief. In an effort to protect others from the same fate, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed The Donda West bill into law on Monday, and Kayne's cousin Yolanda Anderson told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview that "Kanye was very thankful about it."

Donda West’s Death Gets Investigated

"This was so perfect for him," Yolanda said.  "He called me and was very excited about it. He appreciated it." Yolanda's mother is Donda's sister and Yolanda began working on the law shortly after her aunt passed away.

California Assembly member Wilmer Amina Carter said in a statement: "This measure will better protect our citizens from unnecessary bodily trauma that could result from elective cosmetic surgery procedures, if they are not physically fit to undergo surgery.  It will help prevent other California families from going through the trauma and grief that the West family had to endure."

"There is comfort in knowing that her life wasn't in vain," Yolanda said of her Aunt Donda.  "With the law in place it will give family members the knowledge that the extra step is in place. It will protect families against doctors like Jan Adams."

Adams' medical license was revoked in April due to his multiple alcohol related incidents.

Yolanda is working with legislators in Illinois and Oklahoma to pass similar laws there since Donda lived in both states and told RadarOnline.com that Kayne asked her to try and have the law passed in New York as well.

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger believes the legalization of gay marriage will be back but he stands by Tuesday’s state Supreme Court ruling upholding Proposition 8.

"While I believe that one day either the people or courts will recognize gay marriage, as governor of California I will uphold the decision of the California Supreme Court,” he said in a statement.  “Regarding the 18,000 marriages that took place prior to Proposition 8's passage, the court made the right decision in keeping them intact. I also want to encourage all those responding to today's court decision to do so peacefully and lawfully.''
