Goodbye Jack Sparrow, hello Tonto!

Blockbuster producer Jerry Bruckheimer released the first photo Thursday of Johnny Depp playing Tonto in the upcoming film The Lone Ranger and his transformation is fantastic.

Depp, who will play the trusty partner to Armie Hammer’s Lone Ranger, is part Cherokee and told Entertainment Weekly why he decided to take the role.

Up and coming Hollywood star Armie Hammer was arrested in November after being found with marijuana, but he is not going to be prosecuted.

The 25-year-old J. Edgar and the Social Network star was arrested in Sierra Blanca, Texas on November 30 after a drug sniffing dog found pot in his car, the AP reported.

He was arrested at a border patrol check point and was found with “0.02 ounces of marijuana, three medicinal marijuana cookies and one brownie.”

2011 proved to be a British invasion of sorts as Kate and Pippa Middleton both secured numerous front covers on the weeklies, Daphne Guinness moved from the fashion mags to the gossip rags, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley made her big screen debut and the Ecclestone sisters, Petra and Tamara hit U.S. soil.

Kate Middleton was obviously front and center as the blushing bride of Prince William at the royal wedding of the year back in April, but her little sister Pippa almost managed to steal the limelight. Dubbed ‘Her Royal Hotness’ by the British press, the 27-year-old gained many a column inch with speculation that she may have added a little padding to her perfect posterior!

It was A-List gridlock at the Los Angeles County Music of Art last night. Celebs of all ages came out to honor the Grandfather of Hollywood, Clint Eastwood.

Looking amazing for his 81 years, the actor turned director was lauded for his career achievements at the 2011 LACMA Art + Film Gala.

Leonardo DiCaprio, who stars in Clint’s new film 'J. Edgar,' co-chaired the event and looked very dapper in his suit.

Meanwhile the ladies brought the glamor for the Dirty Harry star with Reese Witherspoon, Kate Hudson, Cameron Diaz, Amy Adams, Drew Barrymore and Jane Fonda all in attendance. 

We also spotted J. Edgar costar Armie Hammer, plus Olivia Wilde, Amy Poehler, and Emily Blunt with her husband John Krasinski.

Stevie Wonder was on hand to sign off the night with a brilliant performance for the man who has been in showbiz for over 50 years and has won five Academy Awards.

Gucci sponsored the event and dressed starlets including Camilla Belle and Evan Rachel Wood. Zoe Saldana wore the designer head to toe.

The event also raised funds for the organization to support the museum’s recently re-energized film program.

Vanity Fair released a sneak peek of their highly-anticipated annual International Best Dressed List 2011 on Wednesday, which includes Kate Middleton, Michelle Obama, Justin Timberlake and Lady Gaga.

Kate, who fashionably transformed into the Duchess of Cambridge over the last 12 months by trading in her modest and pocket friendly fashions for designer duds, first graced the list back in 2008.

Meanwhile, America's First Lady, who has scored slots on the list for the past four years, appears for the first time with her husband Barack - the two are on the Best-Dressed couples list!
