Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, and her husband, Mark Kelly have decided to publish a memoir about their careers and the horrific shooting incident that left Giffords fighting for her life, RadarOnline.com has confirmed.

Kelly has also announced that he has decided to retire so that he can be with his wife full time.

"Since Jan. 8, it's been really touching to us to see how much support there is for Gabby and her recovery, and how much interest there is in how she's doing and her story," Kelly, a Navy captain, told The Associated Press during a recent interview from Texas.

"After thinking about it, and talking about it, we decided it was the right thing to do to put our words and our voices on paper and tell our story from our point of view."

Giffords' husband, astronaut Mark Kelly, told the Arizona Republic on Sunday that his wife is slowly improving, as he sees progress "every few days."

NASA officials have confirmed that arrangements are in the works to host the congresswoman in the family viewing area at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida.

Jared Lee Loughner, the man accused of fatally shooting six people and wounding 13 others, including U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords at an Arizona supermarket on January 8, has pleaded not guilty to a new,expanded 49-count indictment, RadarOnline.com has learned.

Loughner appeared in a Tucson courtroom Wednesday wearing a khaki prison uniform, belly chains - his shaved head shown in previous mug shots now shows the growth of dark hair. When asked if his name was Jared Lee Loughner, he answered that it was and his attorney, Judy Clarke, asked the judge to enter the plea to the new indictment on his behalf.

Jared Lee Loughner made his second appearance in court since the January 8 shooting spree that left six people dead and entered a plea of not guilty on Monday.

The 22-year-old faces charges of the attempted assassination of US Representative Gabrielle Giffords and the attepmpted murder of her two aides; he will be charged for the other killings in state court.

Loughner’s hair has grown out and his sinister “smirk was back on his face,” according to CNN.  He entered the courtroom in Phoenix, Arizona 10 minutes before the judge came into the room and was looking around, smiling and chuckling a little bit.

“You know, I don’t think it’s their fault,” Gifford’s husband, Mark Kelly, told Diane Sawyer during an interview with ABC News.

“I’d like to think I’m a person that’s…somewhat forgiving…they’ve got to be hurting in this situation…as much as anybody.

“And they must, I’m sure they love their son…they must be, you know, as distraught over this as we are.”
