Alec Baldwin Still Fuming Over American Airlines Fiasco

It’s been more than a month since Alec Baldwin was booted off an American Airlines plane for disobeying a flight attendant, and Piers Morgan Wednesday picked the 30 Rock star’s scabs regarding the December incident.  

“My advice to people is when you get on a plane, turn off your phone. Try with all of your might. Try with all your strength and inner resolve,” the 53-year-old Long Island native said in a tongue-and-cheek manner, before rehashing the fiasco.

Baldwin noted that plane was at the gate and already 45 minutes late prior to his run-in with the attendant, who he said doled out a “very, very kind of a Soviet-level of enforcement of the rules” he characterized as “very harsh and very, very snappy.

Alec Baldwin made a surprise guest appearance on Saturday Night Live, and it was funny and cringe-worthy at the same time.

Baldwin appeared as AA pilot Captain Steve Rogers, who came on the Weekend Update segment to "apologize" to passenger Baldwin who was booted off one of his airline's planes on Wed.

"Mr. Baldwin is an American treasure," Rogers/Baldwin said.  "That man's a hero."

American Airlines flight attendants want the carrier to strike back at Alec Baldwin after his in-flight, profanity-laced rant after being told to turn off his cell phone.

The flight attendants want Baldwin slapped with a fine and added to the carrier’s no-fly list. In addition, they also want the carrier to remove his NBC show 30 Rock from all in-flight entertainment.

The outspoken 30 Rock star explained why he was booted off an American Airlines flight after a run-in with a flight attendant, apologized for his behavior during the incident and decries the decline of domestic travel in “My Flying Lesson” an essay he penned for the Huffington Post Wednesday.

The 53-year-old Long Island native apologized to the other first-class passengers who witnessed the exchange, saying his frustration boiled over as a loyal, 20-year customer of American, having flown "hundreds of thousands of miles with the one carrier."

“While I personally enjoy Words with Friends as much as anybody, passengers can continue to search for that double letter triple word score after takeoff.  I’m sure people are used to Alec Baldwin and his expressions,” Julie Frederick from the Association of Professional Flight Attendants told RadarOnline.com.

Alec Baldwin deleted his twitter account as American Airlines Wednesday issued a statement addressing why the opinionated actor was booted off a flight at LAX on Tuesday.

In it, they said Baldwin ignored orders to turn off his cell phone, tried to sneak it into the plane bathroom, and was vulgar and rude when confronted by the crew about his infractions.

Here is the full statement, per the airline: "Since an extremely vocal customer has publicly identified himself as being removed from an American Airlines flight on Tuesday, Dec. 6, we have elected to provide the actual facts of the matter as well as the FAA regulations which American, and all airlines, must enforce. Cell phones and electronic devices are allowed to be used while the aircraft is at the gate and the door is open for boarding. When the door is closed for departure and the seat belt light is turned on, all cell phones and electronic devices must be turned off for taxi-out and take-off.
