Former Growing Pains star Andrew Koenig’s suicide mirrors the death of a character in a film he helped edit, his friend Lance Miccio told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview.

"I told you we did that Living the Blues film. And it’s been like my own personal nightmare," Miccio, who directed the film, said. "Knowing that we made this film and I’m watching the scenario of it play out in front of me."

RadarOnline.com has learned that Rita Wilson, along with husband Tom Hanks and family friend Steven Spielberg, paid tribute to her recently-deceased father Allan Wilson in Los Angeles on February 17.

Allan, a Bulgarian who changed the family's surname from "Ibrahimoff" to "Wilson" when they came to the United States, was the inspiration behind Hanks' role Viktor Navorksi in Spielberg's The Terminal. In the film, Hanks' Navorski is an Eastern European traveler who gets stuck at an airport for months due to a military coup in his native land.

"The service was held at St. Sophia Cathedral," the source said. "Tom spoke at the service. The family seemed like wonderful people." The cathedral is a Greek Orthodox church built in 1952.
Toy Story 3 Hits Theaters In June
Allan's interment was at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills. He was placed in the Lincoln Terrace Section of the cemetery where David Carradine is also buried.
Rita's aunt was also laid to rest at Forest Lawn.
