Lloyd's of London is suing the Michael Jackson Company and AEG over an insurance policy that was taken out for Michael Jackson's performances in London, which never happened due to the superstar’s sudden death.

LLoyd's accuses AEG, the concert promoter, of withholding witness statements, and "other information necessary to determine AEG's entitlement to coverage under the policy," according to the lawsuit.

The insurance policy that was taken out on behalf of the former King of Pop for $17.5 million dollars, which Lloyd's doesn't think it should have to pay because it was never revealed to them that Jackson was taking prescription drugs and Propofol.

Ortega, the famed choreographer and director who was helming Michael Jackson's planned This Is It concert series, was named by Katherine Jackson as one of the people she believes is responsible for her son's death.

Nothing could be further from the truth, Ortega says and on January 26, he filed a Memorandum of Points and Authorities stating he was "wrongfully and mistakenly named as a defendant in this case."

Ortega, the document states "has been extremely hurt by this mistaken and misguided Complaint publicly naming him as a defendant allegedly responsible for his friend's death."

He's asking the court to remove him as a defendant in Katherine's ongoing lawsuit against the giant entertainment and sports presentation company, AEG.

“Katherine was ultimately swayed by her son Randy to sue AEG.

“Most people assume that the lawsuit was Joe's -- and that Joe controls Katherine, but Randy has much more control of Katherine than Joe does.

The wrongful death lawsuit that Katherine filed against AEG stunned even her closest advisers who weren't notified about the action.

“Katherine has a couple of business associates that are independent of any Jackson family control or influence,” said the source.

“Those associates weren't told about the lawsuit and were absolutely stunned, as they had advised her in the past not to sue AEG.”

Michael's three children, who live at the Jackson family Encino compound, are going to have to endure their dad's name being dragged through the mud again, the source claimed.

“Michael's children are going to suffer the most because of this lawsuit,” added the source.

“It's truly sad that they are going to have to go through this. The kids will hear unflattering things about their dad because of this lawsuit.

The contract clearly states "Artistco (a company owned by Michael Jackson), hereby represents and warrants that Artist does not possess any known health conditions, injuries or ailments that would reasonably
be expected to interfere with Artist's first class performance at each of the Shows during the term."

Michael personally signed the contract with great flourish.

"Michael Jackson passed a physical that was coordinated by AEG, and he formally signed the contract stating that he had no health problems that would prohibit him from honoring his agreement with AEG," a source close to the situation told RadarOnline.com exclusively.

Jackson signed the contract on behalf of his company, The Michael Jackson Company LLC and as the artist, Michael Jackson. AEG Live CEO Brandon Phillips also signed the contract.

The pop star died June 25th of cardiac arrest.  His personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray is being investigated on possible manslaughter charges but as RadarOnline.com exclusively reported, there are "major problems" with the case delaying it from being turned over to the D.A.

Looks like Hollywood prevailed in Michael Jackson proceedings today.

Not only has a major film studio been granted rights to air footage from the singer's final days, his children will be granted a guardian to represent their rights in such lucrative transactions.

Columbia Pictures has effectively won the coveted rehearsal footage from AEG Live, the concert promoter who had the wherewithal to document Jackson's preparation for what would have been a 50 concert stint at London's 02 Arena.

An October 30 release date was been set for This Is It, that will showcase the footage and likely other content centered on the pop king's demise.

His legacy, children Prince, Paris and Blanket, will also be well represented in other projects to come down the pipeline--Judge Mitchell Beckloff will appoint a Guardian Ad Litem, an agent that looks out for minor children in business transactions.

Their current legal guardian, Michael's mother Katherine, is said to support the Columbia deal.
