“I don’t think we go over 100 miles per hour really,” Patrick said about the break neck speeds the drivers reach on the race. “We were probably driving at about 85%.”

Patrick explained what all drivers need to do when getting ready to race. “First off, give the tires a kick, even if it hurts a little.” Which it apparently did. “These are like ballet shoes,” he deadpanned after kicking the tire.

Brian Austin Green admitted that he was doing “Maybe 120 or so,” while zooming around the course in his Toyota. “They break really well,” he said.  “Thank God, ‘cause we’re right up on each other.”

Zachery Levi gave RadarOnline.com his racing secret.  “I’m just flooring it until I have to break.”

One of the two women racing this year, Megyn Price copped to why she wasn’t leading the pack. “The gas tank seems to be open, that’s probably is what slowed me down in the last lap.”

Adam Carolla shared his well planed stratergy to win the race.  “Shoreline Drive is a street – 55 is the posted speed limit.  I’ve got a radar detector in my car.  A lot of these guys are going to get busted hot dogging it – Adam Broidy going 100 miles and hour down Shoreline Drive – he gets pulled over – I slide right past him.”

Jesse McCartney has it out for Adam this year.  “He clipped the left side of my car, I spun out, he kept going,” Jesse claimed Carolla did on the practice track recently. “If he’s in my way I’m going to bump him right in the ass,” Jesse threatened.

What did Adam have to say about the allegations?  “The kid can sing.  Put down the steering wheel, pick up the microphone. That’s what I have to say.”

The Toyota Grand Prix Pro Celebrity race takes place on Saturday April 17 in Long Beach.
