When Ace Young proposed on the live finale of American Idol he gave Diana DeGarmo a ring valued at $12,000, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.
The .95 carat fancy yellow diamond ring he placed on Diana's finger is from David Webb — a fine jewelry company that was a favorite of actress Elizabeth Taylor.
Ace, 31, popped the question on the Idol stage in front of millions watching on Wednesday night.

American Idol alums Ace Young and Diana DeGarmo got engaged on Wednesday's finale show, and RadarOnline.com has all the details for you.
Diana, the third season runner-up, and Ace, who performed on the show's fifth season, sat in the audience until host Ryan Seacrest called them onto the stage, dimmed the lights and gave center stage to Ace, who dropped to one knee.
The show has always been home to us, Ace said, adding he found the venue perfect "to ask a simple question."
