Mindy McCready, in her first interview since her son Zander was taken from her by U.S. Marshals after she left Florida with him -- told ABC News the 5-year-old boy was inconsolable when they were separated, and that the reason she took him was "to protect" him.
“What I did was to protect my child,” she said, “and there's not a person in the world who will tell me I am wrong."

As the concern over missing Maryland woman Robyn Gardner mounts, disturbing new details have emerged about prime suspect Gary Giodarno's behavior on the day of her disappearance.
According to the police report in Aruba, Giordarno had cuts on his throat and blood on his neck when he was on the beach after Robyn vanished.

Joran van der Sloot's mother Anita apologized to the parents of Stephany Flores Ramirez, claimed he's not a monster, and said she won't be visiting him in prison in an interview with a Dutch TV station obtained by ABC News.
As RadarOnline.com has previously reported, van der Sloot is the 22-year-old Dutchman who currently stands accused of killing 21-year-old Ramirez on May 30 in Lima, Peru. He is also a suspect in connection with the disappearance of Alabama teen Natalee Holloway in Aruba back in 2005. Van der Sloot initially told investigators he had killed Flores, but later recanted his confession.

Olympian gymnast Shawn Johnson broke her silence on Good Morning America Tuesday about her harrowing experience with a stalker who had planned to kidnap her, and how she eventually mustered up the courage to face him in court.
As RadarOnline.com has previously reported, on June 11, 36-year-old Florida native Robert O'Ryan was convicted on charges of felony stalking and commercial burglary after a 2009 incident in which he'd jumped the fences at CBS Television City in Los Angeles during filming of Dancing With the Stars (Johnson was a contestant on the show). In his car, police found two loaded guns, duct tape, a wooden club and a scary note he had written to the Olympic star.

One can't be tamed, the other can't be stopped: pop singer Miley Cyrus and 80s rocker Bret Michaels sang a duet of Michaels' 1988 Poison hit, Every Rose Has Its Thorn, in New York's Central Park on Good Morning America Friday.
"My first concert was Poison," Cyrus said.
"['Every Rose Has Its Thorn'] is my mom's favorite song -- I did this song mostly for my mom," the Hannah Montana star said of the power ballad, which sat atop the Billboard charts during the two last weeks of 1988 and the first week of 1989 (or, almost four years before Miley was born!).
