Katy Perry wasn't at the 38th annual People's Choice Awards in Los Angeles Wednesday night, but that didn't stop her from being the night's big winner.

The Firework singer, who ducked out on the CBS show following her recent split with estranged hubby Russell Brand, took home five awards: Favorite Female Artist, Tour Headliner, Song of the Year for "E.T.", Music Video of the Year for "Last Friday Night" and TV Guest Star for her cameo on How I Met Your Mother.

She tweeted following her wins: "THANK U to every1 who voted for me for the @peopleschoice tonight! We won so many! Now I need to get more books 2 successfully display them!"

Twilight hottie Robert Pattinson turned heads by sporting a shaved head at Wednesday's People's Choice Awards held at the Nokia Live Theatre in Los Angeles.

The 25-year-old British heartthrob -- dressed casually in a blue button-up polo shirt and jeans -- accepted the award for Favorite Drama Movie for Water for Elephants. (Pattinson’s costar Reese Witherspoon skipped the awards show.)

Hollywood's award season has officially started, and RadarOnline.com was on the red carpet at the 2012 People's Choice Awards Wednesday night, where A-listers such as Neil Patrick Harris and Ewan McGregor came out to celebrate.

Holding her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth's hand, Miley Cyrus showed off her curves, while Liam's Hunger Games co-star Jennifer Lawrence was no slouch herself, dazzling in a glamorous gown. Sharon and Kelly Osbourne walked the carpet together, while Ginnifer Goodwin, Ashley Greene, Lea Michele, Julianne Hough and Vanessa Hudgens sparkled in their fancy dresses.

Bridesmaid star Wendi McLendon-Covey gushed to RadarOnline.com that she "was thrilled people liked our movie," while True Blood’s Carrie Preston said she was "happy to be nominated by the fans, because they're the ones that matter."

Betty White, who celebrates her 90th birthday on January 17, was well-honored at the 2012 People's Choice Awards Wednesday night, getting a pair of standing ovations from her show business peers.

“Thank you with all my heart,” the Golden Girl said, as she and her Hot In Cleveland castmates accepted their award for Favorite Cable TV Comedy. “But you don’t really accomplish anything!”
