Heartthrob Zac Efron is laughing off what sure sounds like a heart-pounding situation.
Efron -- in Japan to promote his new movie 17 Again -- talked Thursday about having to wait an extra hour on the plane when he landed in Tokyo to clear quarantine amid the swine flu epidemic.
The 21-year old actor said, “[A few people from the hospital] had what I guess was a heat sensing camera and they took pictures of us - everyone was different shades of yellow and orange and green, it was pretty funny. But I cleared and made it in. I’m okay!”

Attention all MILFs, Cougars and gay men: Zac Efron is now officially age-appropriate to be the object of your sexual fantasies. However, it might be a little creepy if you go see his new comedy 17 Again, unless you have a pre-pubescent daughter or niece in tow. See, while the High School Musical star desperately wants to make the leap from teen idol to thespian, this isn’t the vehicle that’ll do it for him.
Strangely, Zac agreed to do another role that has him playing a high school senior and basketball star — and he even has a cutesy dance sequence at the beginning. But this time, he’s not Troy Bolton, he’s Mike O’Donnell, and after he accidentally knocks up his teenage girlfriend, he flakes on an athletic scholarship. Bad move, dummy! Flash forward 20 years or so and, of course, adult Mike (Matthew Perry) hates his life and resents his wife (Leslie Mann), and his teenage kids (Sterling Knight and Michelle Trachtenberg) think he’s a loser. But magically, he wakes up one morning in his 17-year-old body and gets a do-over.

Zac Efron will eat anything for $20. Really.
The 21-year-old "poster boy for teenyboppers" told Jimmy Kimmel Thursday that his father once bet him $20 at a sushi bar that he couldn't eat a live octopus. $20 dollars richer, Efron said it was like biting into a cherry tomato.
The High School Musical star also said he has enjoyed culinary delights such as crickets and fly larvae ("tastes like pasta").
Disgusting and Zac in the same sentence? Who are we kidding, we'd swap spit with him even after an eight-course meal.

Although Zac Efron graduated from high school a few years ago , it seems like he never left.
The heartthrob, synonymous with his role of singing basketball wunderkind Troy Bolton, talked about what he would do differently if he could relive those formative years at Tuesday's premiere of his new film, 17 Again.
"I'd ace my SATs," he told USA Today. "But I think I'm for the most part proud of the way I lived my high school experience. Even the biggest mistakes that I made -- they were probably what got me here today."

Recently removing himself from the musical Footloose in hopes of being more that that cute kid who can sing, Zac Efron will re-team with his 17 Again director- getting his wish of starring in a more serious movie.
The actor is expected to star in the film adaptation of the novel The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud. The movie is about a cemetery caretaker who has weekly meetings with his younger brother whose death he feels was his fault.
