Storm fronts, sophomoric humor and Sapphic sensuality scorched Seaside Heights on Thursday’s Jersey Shore finale, which was an action-packed-albeit-anti-climactic end to the show’s fifth season.

With a storm pounding the shore, the sophomoric humor was on display by resident ribbers Pauly D and Vinny, who embarked on Operation Inside Out: taking all of their housemates stuff and moving all of the outside patio furniture in the house.

Thursday’s Jersey Shore was the calm before the storm, as the episode nursed along some of the season’s ongoing storylines while building up to what’s expected to be an epic clash between Snooki and The Situation next week, over his longstanding claims she cheated on her current boyfriend Jionni with him.

Next week's drama simmering, Thursday’s episode was a basic showcase of Snooki being Snooki, as the pint-sized media sensation was up to her usual party-fueled hijinks.

The Situation’s feud with Snooki -- centered around his allegation she cheated on her boyfriend, Jionni -- continued to build on Thursday’s Jersey Shore. And it was all triggered by a piece of cake.

After a piece of the cake Snooki and Deena Cortese baked for their boss Danny had mysteriously disappeared -- and the girls deduced that the selfish Sitch was the most likely perpetrator, based on the timelines involved --

Thursday's edition of Jersey Shore moved along some of the season's key storylines, as The Situation continues to plot with his pal The Unit to reveal Snooki's unfaithfulness to her boyfriend, Jionni. 

Mike --  still upset that the gang just doesn't care for him all too much -- seems to play his cards close to the vest with Snooki, even slamming back a few drinks with her and Deena for subterfuge.

The newest antagonist on the Jersey Shore, Jonathan ‘The Unit’ Manfre, has been charged with felony drug possession after being arrested at the MTV party house last summer RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.

On Thursday night’s episode of the season premiere of the hit MTV show Manfre infuriated Snooki by taunting her about her alleged hookup with The Situation, causing her to scream at him: "If you didn't have Mike you'd be a f---ing loser, you f---ing idiot!  Unit? Your name's Unit you f---ing moron!"

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Manfre was arrested in Seaside Heights, New Jersey on July 24, 2011 for possession of a controlled “powdery substance” which turned out to be Ketamine, a medically prescribed drug that is legally used as a horse tranquilizer. The illegal use of "Special K" can cause "dream-like states and hallucinations," according to www.drugfree.org.

The fifth season of Jersey Shore started off with a bang Thursday, as the lingering tension between Snooki and The Situation -- over a hook-up he swears to and she denies -- explodes in a confrontation between the pint-sized starlet and his brash new sidekick, "The Unit."

The episode unfolds as the cast returns from Florence, Italy, only to -- What else?!? -- celebrate their homecoming at a Seaside Heights bar. Everyone is there: friends and family, including Snooki's serious boyfriend Jionni LaValle, who's still clueless to the whispers that his gal pal hooked up with The Sitch. (He actually buys him drinks all night.)

A brazen bodybuilder, The Unit's comparable to The Situation, minus the good manners: When Jionni takes a bathroom break, he immediately lays into Snooki about how he witnessed she and The Situation hooking up -- and won’t hesitate to tell him.
