Oh, Melissa Leo. The Fighter actress, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actress hasn't exactly been hitting the high mark a la mode this awards season, and she finished it off with yet another blunder. Her mirrored Marc Bouwer custom creation featured an awkward neckline and strange slit, and just didn't compare to all the other glam gowns on the carpet.

And leave it to Helena Bonham Carter to up the wacky factor!  The King's Speech star turned to costume designer Colleen Atwood, to construct an 1800's style ensemble for her, finishing the look off with a fanned clutch, her signature shades and a Union Flag garter belt.

Both Black Swank babes Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis opted for purple frocks. While preggers Portman showed off her baby bump in a plum-colored custom made off-the-shoulder Rodarte gown and Tiffany jewels, Kunis took sexy to the extreme, scantily clad in a lavender Elie Saab gown and blinged-out in $500,000 of Neil Lane jewels.

Red was clearly established as the new black, as several stars turned to the attention-grabbing shade to light up the night.  Jennifer Lawrence showed off her sexiest side ever in a custom-made Calvin Klein halter gown, while Jennifer Hudson flaunted her startlingly skinny bod in Atelier Versace, dripping in $1 million of Neil Lane jewelry.  And Anne Hathaway was clearly the hostess with the mostest, channeling Old Hollywood glamour, wearing Versace as well.

Cate Blanchett stepped out of her comfort zone with her lilac Givenchy Haute Couture gown, which was beaded in lilac and yellow.  The attention-grabbing gown just wasn't a great choice for the Academy Award winning actress.

Nicole Kidman also experienced a fashion flop in a Christian Dior oragami-like gown, which she insisted was super comfortable.

Reese Witherspoon perfected Old Hollywood glamour in a gorgeous black and white strapless Armani Prive gown.  The Academy Award winner rocked a high ponytail, exposing stunning emerald and diamond Neil Lane earrings.

Other style scores included Gwyneth Paltrow, who showed off her fat-free figure in a sizzling hot Calvin Klein silver gown and Halle Berry, who left the sheer and short dresses at home, glamming it up in a marvelous Marchesa gown and $1 million of Neil Lane diamonds.
