INTERVIEW: Lawyer Says Bristol Palin Pleased As Judge Orders Levi Johnston To Pay Overdue Child Support

An Alaskan judge today ordered Levi Johnston to pay Bristol Palin nearly $18,000 in overdue child support payments.
Bristol’s lawyer Thomas Van Flein told RadarOnline.com: “Bristol was in court today and she was pleased with the way things went. Levi was not present in court.”
Palmer Superior Court Judge Kari Kristiansen granted Bristol’s motion for interim child support payments and allowed her lawyer to subpoena Johnston’s commercial earnings.

The retroactive payments date to when the couple’s son Tripp was born in December 2008; the pair split shortly afterward. The judge set a court date of September 23 for their child support trial and noted that it would have been better for Levi if he had attended Thursday’s court action.
Van Flein told RadarOnline.com about his client: “She still has both physical and legal custody of their son although she has been working with Levi so that he can see him on Saturdays.

“The pair are communicating via text and e-mail and are deciding to put their son first – we are actively working with Levi’s lawyer to get a more regular schedule set-up and we hope to have everything in place before the next court date on September 23, 2010.
“The payments amount to around $18,000 and date back to when their son was born and Levi will be paying around $1600 a month in on-going child support payments.
“It should take us around two weeks to subpoena his commercial earnings after the judge granted this to us today.

Palin recently announced that she will make her acting debut in The Secret Life of The American Teenager.
Bristol will be playing herself as one of Amy’s (Shailene Woodley) friends at a music program for teen mothers, in an episode to be shot in LA.

Yay—Regis is still on the air! Tonight Patricia Heaton takes her chance in the hot seat on Who Wants to Be A Millionaire with him as she plays for charity.
On Dance Your Ass Off, the contestants try to stay focused as they prepare for two routines but it’s a little tough when their families show up and surprise them. This show has a lot of heart and drama so it’s really grown on us over the past few weeks.

And this week the emotional rollercoaster continues on The Secret Life of the American Teenager with some big time fallout from Grace and Jack sleeping together. Besides the fact that everybody knows about it, Grace starts to believe that it’s her fault that her dad died because she had sex… and enjoyed it. After she shuts Jack out, Ricky steps up to try and help Grace through her hard time.

Olympic superstar Shawn Johnson seems to have bounced back on Dancing With The Stars, now that her stalker scare is behind her.
She scored a 26 for her Vienna waltz on Monday night's show.
Shawn had a special cheering section in the studio audience. Several cast members of ABC Family's The Secret Life Of The American Teenager (which Shawn made a guest appearance) showed up to root her on.
RadarOnline.com's Tina Malave went backstage of DWTS to talk with Shawn's "Teenager" friends.
