Ryan Gosling is working with PETA to try and ban a bizarre method of putting down sick chickens and turkeys.
The Notebook star, a well-known animal lover, wrote a letter to the U.S. Department of Agriculture on behalf of PETA, taking on slaughterhouses who use an approved method of euthanizing diseased chickens and turkeys.

Notebook star Ryan Gosling endured a very public breakup with co-star Rachel McAdams in 2008 after dating on-and-off for close to four years, but RadarOnline.com has learned that the heartthrob actor has moved on with a new Hollywood starlet -- Casey LaBow.

Actor Ryan Gosling is trotting off the big screen come fall, for a national tour with his band Dead Man's Bones.
Along with partner Zach Shields, The Notebook star's rollout begins in October, with twelve dates scheduled across the country.
Dead Mans Bones will utilize local choirs in all locations to add to their live show.
The former Rachel McAdams flame has three films in the can, including the recently wrapped Blue Valentine, alongside Michelle Williams.
