Hollywood Arson Fires Continue

Another 10 arson fires were set in Los Angeles Saturday morning, bringing to 32 the number of blazes now under investigation by fire officials. The latest group were all in North Hollywood.

Friday night, there was one more fire set in West Hollywood, in the same area where the first batch of 21 went up Thursday night and Friday morning.

Most of the infernos started with cars being set afire. They quickly spread to nearby houses and apartment buildings.

One man has been arrested, although he's not yet been charged. "It's too early to say whether we have a copycat," Captain Jaime Moore, of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the house where legendary rocker Jim Morrison once lived is among those destroyed. It's believed to have inspired his song, Love Street.

"We believe it's a good possibility that the individual responsible for the fires this morning is responsible for the fire that occurred tonight," Moore said Friday night.

Fire officials are now on full alert, fearing the arson fires may continue on New Year's Eve.

Jim Morrison’s Former House Damaged In West Hollywood Arson Spree

The Hollywood Hills house Jim Morrison once lived at was one of the many damaged in a spree of arsons in West Hollywood, California early Friday, KTLA reported.

Firefighters were summoned at about 1:20 a.m. PT to 8021 Rothdell Trail, where the Lizard King resided with girlfriend Pamela Courson during the 1960s.

The dwelling reportedly inspired the Doors' 1968 song "Love Street".

Fire officials in Los Angeles estimated as many as 20 separate blazes were started during the early morning hours, mostly in parked cars or car ports, then spreading to nearby structures.

When Amy Winehouse died Saturday, she instantly became a member of the bizarre '27 Club.'  That's an extraordinary group of famed musicians who all died at the young age of 27.

The most famous member of the 'club', which is also referred to as 'Forever 27', is Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain who committed suicide on April 5, 1994 by shooting himself in the head following a heroin and Valium binge.

Kurt was married to Hole rocker Courtney Love at the time and the pair had a 2-year-old daughter, Frances Bean.

Love's own band-member Kristen Pfaff died several months later, on June 16, 1994, from an opiate overdose. She was also 27.

Guitar legend Jimi Hendrix choked to death on his own vomit after overdosing on sleeping pills and red wine on September 18, 1970 and just weeks later, on October 4, singer/songwriter Janis Joplin died from a heroin overdose on October 4.  They were both 27.

The Doors front man Jim Morrison was found dead at 27.  He was discovered  in a bathtub in his Paris apartment on July 3, 1971 and was listed as having died from congestive heart failure, although no autopsy was carried out and Jim had a history of heroin abuse.

Brian Jones, one of the founding members of The Rolling Stones, drowned at age 27 in a swimming poll on July 3,1967.

Robert Johnson is widely believed to be the original member of the '27 Club' after he was poisoned with strychnine and died on August 16, 1938.

Megan Lacy Wren, actor Tom Sizemore's missing girlfriend, was once engaged to The Doors legend Robby Krieger's son, Waylon.

What's more, a family member said Wren is suffering from a heart ailment and needs treatment.

What's more, a family member said Wren is suffering from a heart ailment and needs treatment.

Cops in Los Angeles last week questioned Sizemore, who has a criminal record that includes domestic violence, about the March 31 disappearance near Sizemore's downtown Los Angeles loft.
