The Cannes Film Festival is by far the glammest film fest in the world, with Hollywood’s hottest stars invading the South of France in the most luxurious designer duds – but not all of them get dressed to impress! Diane Kruger continued her style streak, hitting the Amour premiere in a sizzling, sequin Vivienne Westwood custom gown. Earlier in the week, the gorgeous German actress dropped jaws in Giambattista Valli, Versus and Calvin Klein.

Carrie Underwood usually sticks to safe, metallic a la mode, so we were pleasantly surprised to see her step out of her comfort zone in totally dramatic fashion. The country darling dazzled in a princess-worthy Oscar de la Renta frothy gown, which she paired with silver peep-toes, a jeweled clutch and Johnathon Arndt jewels.
Forget your pants? Miley Cyrus showed off her slimmed down figure, leaving little to the imagination by wearing only a Jean Paul Gaultier tuxedo jacket with Christian Louboutin heels and Jacquie Aiche bling. We know that Miley recently dropped lots of weight due to her gluten-free diet and Pilates workout, but she didn’t have to hit a red carpet nearly naked to show off the results!

Eva took the South of France by style storm this week, rocking one devastatingly chic designer gown after another – but it was her marvelous Marchesa gown at the opening night premiere of Moonrise Kingdom that really took our breath away. Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the sheerest of them all? Kristen Stewart hit the London premiere of Snow White and the Huntsman, wearing a bizarre hand-stitched lace Marchesa dress with an embroidered skeleton illusion bodysuit, that didn’t quite result in a fashion fairytale ending for her.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala is one of the most important red carpet events of the year, with Hollywood’s hottest stars modeling the latest and most elaborate couture from the world’s most important fashion designers – but some stars took their passion for fashion in totally the wrong direction! While Scarlett Johansson sizzled in Dolce & Gabbana, Gwyneth Paltrow looked pretty in Prada and Rihanna spiced things up in a sexy Tom Ford gown, Anja Rubik promoted eating disorders with a hipbone-high slit number and Elizabeth Banks took wacky to the extreme in a clashing Mary Katrantzou peplum dress.
