Fox Has Four-Star Hit On Its Hands With MasterChef
Posted on Nov 04, 2009 @ 06:46PM - 2 comments

Fox is about to bring the tastiest import from across the pond this side of breakfast tea: MasterChef, a smash-hit cooking competition in the U.K. and Australia, that takes average joes with no experience in the food business, and trains them to be the next Wolfgang Puck.
Then there's the host, the explosive Gordon Ramsay, who is to cooking what Simon Cowell is to evaluating singers: blunt, brutal and the best in the business.
“Gordon Ramsay is the biggest cooking star on television today and one of the most dynamic personalities on Fox, so we jumped at the opportunity to work with him to bring MasterChef to the U.S.,” Fox's Mike Darnell told RadarOnline.com.
Darnell said the show “searches for people who possess that perfect blend of creativity, innovation and passion for creating great dishes – rather than focusing on running a kitchen – that earns them the title of MasterChef."
Sounds like an entertaining recipe, indeed.
V: On The Fence About A Return Visit

Remember that scene during the first season of Lost when it was revealed that Locke actually was in a wheelchair before coming to the island? After that moment, there was absolutely no way anyone was ever missing another episode. We were riveted and inspired and reminded what great television was all about.
We bring this up because tonight was the premiere of V on ABC and we had really high hopes—especially coming from the network that’s brought us such jaw dropping shows like Lost. The premise of V is fairly simple (and it’s actually a remake of an NBC mini-series from the 80s). One day the world wakes up to spaceships hovering over all the major cities on Earth. The inhabitants, Visitors as they like to be called, claim they’re there to bring peace and new technology to Earth. All they want in return is minerals that will sustain them while they’re so far from home. Sounds suspicious, right? Sounds like there should be non-stop action to keep you glued to your seat, right? You should expect a “Locke is in a wheelchair” moment, right? Yeah, not so much . . .
EXCLUSIVE BLOG: Million Dollar Listing’s Chad Rogers (yes, the guy with the hair)
Posted on Nov 03, 2009 @ 05:13PM - 1 comment
Who knew that the business of real estate was so sexy? In Bravo’s reality show, Million Dollar Listing there’s sex, back-stabbing, and of course, personal grooming. The docu-series takes viewers inside the high-stakes, cutthroat world of real estate, where youngsters Josh Flagg, Madison Hildebrand and Chad Rogers (the one with the Beatle haircut) struggle to make a sale -- and with each other.
Rogers, who earned his real estate license at the age of 18, is one of the reasons fans tune into the show. Will he show us another expensive mansion? (Yes.) Will he squabble with his girlfriend, “Vivacakes” ? (Probably.) Will he obsess about his hair? (Absolutely.)
He takes us for a voyeuristic tour of his latest’s listing (only 3M +), his shoe collection, his girlfriend Victoria, and his adorable little pup, Starla.
For more action, tune in to Bravo on Monday, October 12 at 11 p.m. ET/PT. To put in an offer on the house, go to his biz site www.chadrogers.tv or to check out his blog, www.chadrogersblog.com
It’s Chad Rogers Neighborhood, after all.
