A source tells us: "Charlie looks awful... he is very, very depressed and feels like the world is going against him. Charlie's parents are discussing getting a conservatorship of their son. Martin and Janet know that it's highly unlikely their petition would be granted, but they are trying to do whatever possible to save Charlie's life."

FBI Detains Passenger After Plane Diverted

An American Airlines flight New York to Los Angeles was diverted to New Mexico on Wednesday and a passenger detained by law enforcement after smoke and an odor were detected on the plane, a passenger told RadarOnline.com exclusively.

RadarOnline.com confirmed that the FBI and the TSA as well as local Albuquerque law enforcement are involved.

An American Airlines flight New York to Los Angeles was diverted to New Mexico on Wednesday and a passenger detained by law enforcement after smoke and an odor were detected on the plane, a passenger told RadarOnline.com exclusively.

RadarOnline.com confirmed that the FBI and the TSA as well as local Albuquerque law enforcement are involved.

American Airlines described the incident to RadarOnline.com as a “suspicious action” by the passenger. It happened on flight 117 from JFK to Los Angeles International airport.

The FBI said there was no threat of a bomb but would not reveal why the passenger was taken off the plane and detained.

Another passenger on the plane told RadarOnline.com that it was a bomb scare — a claim the FBI has denied.

A flight attendant reportedly smelled smoke coming from a lavatory.

“Due to a suspicious action by a passenger and as a precautionary measure, the pilot decided to divert the aircraft to the closest airport which was Albuquerque,” Billy Sanez, a spokesperson for American Airlines, told RadarOnline.com.

“Local authorities apprehended one male passenger and that male passenger is under questioning.”

One report said the passenger was smoking.

Sanez said TSA investigations were doing their “due diligence” to sweep the plane and have it returned it is normal flight path to Los Angeles.

168 passengers were on board the Boeing 767 plane, along with a crew of 11.

“The incident was suspicious enough to cause a diversion,” Sanez said.

Los Angeles police showed up at the Sherman Oaks home of Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen early Tuesday, only hours after firefighters recovered the actor's  luxury  Mercedes-Benz  automobile, which was found abandoned down a ravine off Los Angeles' Mulholland Drive for the second time in five months, RadarOnline.com has learned.

Los Angeles police Sgt. John Buckley said the car belongs to Sheen, who told authorities he left it in his driveway about 4 p.m. PT Monday. A security guard reported the crash shortly before 3 a.m. PT Tuesday, RadarOnline.com has learned. The car's engine was still running when it was recovered, according to  firefighters combing the area, but no one was believed to have been inside when the vehicle went off the road.

We totally R-E-S-P-E-C-T Aretha Franklin for being The Queen of Soul, but couldn’t help but gasp in horror when she stepped out in the same, bronze dress two nights in a row! Aretha hit the red carpet of the Tony Awards on Sunday night wearing an overly embellished gown and matching bejeweled heels, with a gold Chanel bag and an unidentified animal coat in her arms, landing herself on our Worst Dressed list.

A silver Mercedes-Benz believed to belong to Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen has been found abandoned down a ravine off Los Angeles' Mulholland Drive with its engine still running, RadarOnline.com has learned.

"I think it's Charlie Sheen's car,'' a firefighter who first arrived at the scene  initially  told RadarOnline.com.

Several sources have since confirmed it is in fact Sheen's car.
