Embattled actress Lindsay Lohan's preliminary hearing will proceed on Friday as planned, a source told RadarOnline.com, despite the fact that the starlet invoked the Christian holy day of Good Friday as an excuse to postpone.

Deputy District Attorney Danette Meyers will be calling to testify the jewelry store owner and the store employee who worked the day that Lindsay allegedly stole a necklace on January 22.

Friday's hearing is expected to last most of the day, and Judge Stephanie Sautner banned cameras inside her courtroom.  The hearing could help determine whether there's enough evidence to put the star of Mean Girls on trial.

If she is ordered to stand trial, however, Hollywood's party girl could automatically be found in violation of probation stemming from a 2007 DUI conviction.

Then, she could be sent to jail immediately for up to six months.

TMZ is reporting that Holley brought in an appraiser to appraise the necklace. I have a feeling she's trying to get it down to a misdemeanor to plea to that instead of a felony.

Since she passed up the last judge's very lenient plea offer and is taking up more time in the court system, I seriously don't believe they'll reduce the charge. She should have jumped at that one.

Too bad the LieHo doesn't have the brains to realize that a plea would land her less time than the probation violation alone. But then again, no one has ever accused her of having any smarts. Sticky fingers- yes. Brains- no.

If not jail can she just go away.Looking at her makes people feel ill.Obviously she doesn't embarass so she doesn't feel the nausea the public feels. There is something so scarey, eerie about her.

Danette Myers will NOT let this filthy-minded, lying little tramp get off with just a slap on the wrists. Lindsay must be having convulsions.

it's not danette myers decision. it's up to the judge and once the trial starts, it will be up to the jury.

I highly doubt this will go before a jury. She's going to plead. With all the other stuff they can bring into trial, she'd probably end up with the whole three years in a jury trial.

Who cares if she is found guilty of a VOP as long as she is exonerated at trial. If she goes to jail tomorrow she might be out in time for Cannes. LINNOCENT.
